Oklahoma Marines Registry
for the National Museum of the Marine Corps
 Roll of Honor

The Marine Corps Heritage Foundation has been the driving force behind the building of the National Museum of the Marine Corps for a number of years. The museum officially opened on November 10, 2006. The foundation is attempting to compile a list, by state, of all Marines that have served. They are calling this list of Marines the "Roll of Honor." The stated purpose is to "finding all Marines across the United States, informing them about the project and engaging them in the plans and future activities of their museum." The foundation website is http://www.usmcmuseum.org

The US Marine Corps Coordinating Council of Oklahoma has agreed to be the list manager for Oklahoma at the request of Judge West. The council is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to support Marine Corps activities in Oklahoma. This includes providing money and services to the active/reserve Marine Corps units and holding an annual Marine Corps Birthday luncheon. The council maintains an email list and a mailing list to keep Oklahoma Marines informed about things that relate to Oklahoma Marines.

The Roll of Honor is also published on this site. Click here for the Roll of Honor. Be advised that the Roll of Honor is updated manually and the submitted Marine may not appear for a few days.
